Julia Tscherrig

Julia joined the SDG Lab in April 2023 and is responsible for leading on the Lab’s strategic planning and supporting project management activities. In addition, she is focused on exploring long-term sustainability and future generations from a rights perspective.

Before the SDG Lab, Julia worked in the Office of the Victims’ Rights Advocate at the UN Secretariat in New York. Prior, she worked for several years at the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs in Switzerland and Costa Rica, and at the Global Apprenticeship Network in Geneva. She has a strong human rights background and has been responsible, among other things, for coordinating Swiss human rights positions in the Human Rights Council and the UN General Assembly.

Julia is passionate about gender equality and women’s rights. She enjoys cycling, hiking, and learning new languages.

She is fluent in German, French, English, and Spanish.
